Tom leads Fillmore Hospitality by working with corporate and property teams and clients in a collaborative manner to achieve the company's strategic goals by leveraging our best thinking, our best practices and our best efforts - every day. Previously, Tom served as President of Professional Hospitality Resources in Virginia Beach where he led a team of 1,600 associates working in a portfolio of seven lodging properties and six destination restaurants. Prior to joining PHR, Tom was President of Becker Lodging Ventures, a hospitality investment and management firm where he provided executive leadership for a hotel portfolio valued in excess of $400 million. Tom also spent many years at Destination Hotels & Resorts, where he played a critical role in building DH&R from three properties to the then largest operator of independently branded hotels and resorts in the U.S. Tom has extensive experience working with independent and branded properties at all price points across the U.S. and in the United Kingdom.

Chris Johnson

Chris directs the sales and marketing operations for Fillmore Hospitality. He is responsible for creating a culture of talented sales managers and leaders in their markets and is adept at maximizing share through solid planning and execution across all social, business, relationship, marketing and advertising platforms. Chris has an operational background and a history of strong revenue and media generation across all delivery platforms. He has worked from coast to coast in both branded and brand-of-one hotels, and he consistently improves share, revenue and NOI. Chris began his career with Marriott International and was selected as “Magic GM of the Year” for his Marriott brand in 2005. He has worked in three, four and five diamond properties and led The Hotel Burnham, The Hotel Zoso, Hotel 21 East Kempinski and other properties to superior performance and improved market share. His passion is creating leaders and educating his teams to develop a strong depth of talent and notable success.

Cody Hearn

Cody was born and raised in West Virginia and move to Columbus Ohio in 1984. Engaging in diverse environments—hospitality, payroll processor, staffing agency, prominent law firm, and global food company—he acquired a rare depth and breadth of exposure to best practices in finance and accounting.

Cody received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Franklin University. He drives significant value through cost savings, improved productivity, streamlined systems, and elevated quality. Currently, as Corporate Controller for Fillmore Hospitality, he has continued to scale the accounting and finance infrastructure, train and lead direct and indirect reports, improve processes and platforms. Affectionately dubbed by the company “archaeologist” based on his track record of “digging in and finding” opportunities to improve processes and performance, his efforts have been met with accolades throughout his tenure. With 11 years in the hospitality industry, four years at Fillmore, he has positioned the company’s accounting structure to move forward successfully. Cody is not all work, he enjoys dinner and movies with friends, as well as strong family ties.

Patrick G. Barrett

Patrick leads the operations efforts for Fillmore Hospitality. He brings over 25 years’ experience of operational excellence in the Hotel and Restaurant industries. Patrick has held senior corporate-level positions, including multi-property oversight responsibilities, General Manager and Department Head positions in both branded and independent hotel properties. His level of expertise includes full service four diamond, luxury boutique, independent and focus service properties, with a consistent record of improving every asset he is involved with. Patrick earned his BBA in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism at The University of Southern Mississippi. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and Certified Food and Beverage Executive (CFBE). Patrick is happily married and often says his greatest joy and success in life are his two boys, Noah and Oliver.

Marlyn Rousseau, PHR

Marlyn serves as the Corporate Director of Human Resources for Fillmore Hospitality bringing over a decade of experience in the Hospitality industry. She oversees all aspects of Human Resources and drives the associated strategies to achieve the company’s objectives. Marlyn partners with hotel operational leaders to nurture a diverse workforce and deliver excellence. She is dedicated to making a difference and being a catalyst for our winning culture.

Marlyn began her career in the industry with Starwood hotels, holding positions in Front Office and Accounting. Her passion for people and fostering a positive culture led her to Human Resources where she would thrive and become a solid contributor in achieving organizational goals. Marlyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is a certified professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Ajit R. Pareenja

Ajit is responsible for the accounting, finance and owner reporting functions within Fillmore Hospitality. Ajit also serves as Director of Portfolio Management for Fillmore Capital Partners, and has held this position since 2006. Previously, Ajit was with Deloitte & Touche. Ajit earned his BBA from the University of California - Los Angeles.
